Car Repair and Maintenance Near Grimsby, ON

Very honest and helpful on repair. The owner was very helpful in addressing my car concerns along with the things I should do to maintain my car’s longevity.

The owner and his son were amazing to deal with. They found the problems and fixed them at a fair price. I would highly recommend Downtown Auto specialist.

Just walking into the shop I felt so welcomed and the hospitality was absolutely fantastic!!
These guys are greatly experienced and do this with passion.

My Audi Q7 was sitting completely dead for months with major issues and these gentleman were highly skilled in what they were doing, the car was fixed and running in just one day. I was given a VERY reasonable quote considering the repair cost for German cars.

Shoutout to the boys for bringing my first car back to life💯

I had a great experience with Downtown Auto Specialists. I called to inquire about a problem I was having with my vehicle, and they were able to get me in first thing the next morning for an inspection.
The most impressive part of their process is the detailed digital report they send. It included photos and videos of exactly what was going on, which was incredibly helpful and made the entire process feel very transparent.
Even though my car needed several items, they had all the necessary parts in stock—including a full set of tires. They managed to complete all the work the same day, and my vehicle is running perfectly now.
The pricing is very fair, and the customer service is amazing. I highly recommend them if you are looking for efficient and honest mechanics in the area.

Downtown Auto Specialist is hands down one of the best mechanic shops in Hamilton. They are incredibly trustworthy, knowledgeable, and genuinely care about helping their customers.

What really stands out is that they never try to upsell you on things you don’t need. They take the time to explain everything clearly and focus on getting you back on the road as quickly as possible.

Fair pricing, honest advice, and friendly service every time. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a reliable mechanic!

I called on a Thursday of a long weekend. The amazing team not only fit me in but had my car ready the same day! Everyone I communicated with was friendly and attentive. 10/10!!

These guys were quick to diagnose my electrical issues with my van. They even brought to my attention a few other non related issues I didn't know I had with some bad parts, that now need to be replaced.. Great friendly and honest service. They have now become my to go place for my vehicle maintenance..

Great group of mechanics. They got my car all fixed up and safely back on the road. I'm so happy with the service and work. I will travel from out of Hamilton any time I'm in need of work on my vehicle because they are that good. Such a friendly group of people. Never been so happy with any mechanic.

Very warm and accommodating. Authentic and honest people. Accessibility with communication is fantastic. Time efficiency is awesome. Their reports are very thorough, which I appreciate. Definitely a new loyal customer!

My go to garage for tire changes, tuneups, oil changes, and everything in between including that one time I got stuck on ice and messed up the front of my car. I’ve been going to them for years and see no reason that will ever change! Thanks guys.

Mike and his crew do excellent work. They are very thorough with their diagnosis, and entirely dependable. Do not hesitate to use Downtown Auto Specialists.

Was recommended here from a friend and I am so glad! Amazing service! Made me feel so in the loop with my car and the required repairs/repairs that could wait a while. Also an amazing price to get my brakes done! Thanks again Brian!

Outstanding service. I have a Japanese right hand drive so I had to source the parts myself (don’t order from Yoshi Parts!), and once that was done I researched where I’d get it serviced.

Work was done on time and on budget. I can’t recommend this place enough.

Friendly and fast service! I had a flat tire in the middle of the day and needed to drive to Waterloo for an appointment. These folks kindly set aside their lunch to take time to fix the tire so I wasn't late!

Been going to Downtown auto Specialists for 30 years, always professional and fair. I am a backyard Mechanic myself and anytime I get stumped or do not have the proper tools and a lift they get it. I have sent them a couple of nightmare jobs, lol, and they solve the problem every time. Nothing but positive experiences over the years.Only ever charged for actual time spent on vehicle.
Top if off, they are really decent people, friendly and honest. Highly recommend.

Wonderful auto center and high quality operations -

- Called to get my tires changed on my Lexus sedan at the same day.
- Inspection comes with a clear and comprehensive report with pictures that shows which component was replaced and the rest of items are good to go.

Really happy I found these guys! Super friendly, have been able to accommodate me on short notice & make getting car repairs as least painful as possible. Would recommend to anyone! :)

Not only was every gentleman there kind and patient, they explained everything wrong with my car and included reports. They prioritized the repairs needed and were speedy. Definitely coming back and happy a friend referred me to them.

I feel like I won the lottery when I was introduced to Downtown Auto! I’m so grateful to Mike, Kieran, Brian and the other guys looking after our cars. You are beyond thorough and informative when it comes to advising the client what needs to be done immediately, or what can wait. Thanks so much for your awesome friendly service!!

Downtown Auto is excellent. They take the time to explain things, provide very helpful reports before and after, are upfront about all costs. Honestly, these guys are so kind and patient when my brain gets a bit shocked about repairs (my car is aging) and they will go through the list and pick the priorities as well as identify items that can wait. Would definitely recommend!!
